Heart Shaped Chocolate

This is us singing a song.

It's pretty intense.

We're obviously singing "Smooth Criminal" by Micheal Jackson.

OW!

...

ANNIE, ARE YOU OK?
ANNIE, ARE YOU OK?
ARE YOU OK, ANNIE?
ANNIE, ARE YOU OK?
ANNIE, ARE YOU OK?
ARE YOU OK, ANNIE?
...

YOU'VE BEEN STRUCK BY A SMOOTH CRIMINAL!

From the left, Lindsey, Kathy, Me!
Kimmy and Shell were back and forth throughout the adventure.
And Kristine was chatting with me online.

Then we played M.A.S.H.

Someday, I'm going to live in a mansion with Jesus Christ and drive a kite and give birth to Kevin from Home Alone.

(not Macaulay Culkin, but the character, Kevin)

Kathy got to marry her boyfriend but she lives in a shack.

Loser.

Then it was:

-Who do you think is hotter; Gerard Butler or Leonardo Decraprio?
-We have this controversy ALL THE TIME on the bus!
-Leo. D. IS SO UGLY
-His face is like square and he has like a comb over--
-law abiding citizen is so freaky--
-man, he was cooky--
(cukie?)
-I'll stick to 300.
-TONIGHT WE DINE IN HELL!
(echo) IN HELL/ WE DINE IN HELL
-He sucks at romantic rolls.
-Idk who Gerard is but Leo is buttugly.

Everything else we talked about is a secret.
So I can't tell you.

Man, the things school doesn't prepare you for...

I want you to play M.A.S.H.

Out Dated

The moon could fit in the trunk of this car.
Or any car.
[Such as my own.]
But I think mine has a whole bunch of junk in it. Shoot.

Anyway. This is New Year's Eve 2009...2010 is about to happen!
My own records show that I ceased to exist in 2010. I have ZERO journal entries, limited photos--I'm really lacking evidence all around.

I know that I'm exactly a year behind right now, but this pictures are too messed up to pass up. They represent the night so well! I took them all while sitting in my car, off Monroe Ave., waiting for Vince and Casey to grab some take-out garbage plates. I wasn't hungry that day.
It worked out amazingly, though, because my sucks-at-taking-pictures-at-night camera LIGHTS THINGS UP! It's somewhere around midnight in all of these pictures. But there is so much yellow.
Yes!

I was too bummed to participate in New Year activities... Observing worked out just fine though. It's good to be still sometimes.

Especially with all this yellow sneaking up behind me! Yes!

Tease of Summer

I was just going through my computer and found some warm pictures left over from summer. [enjoy]

My own trash is my own treasure!

[yucky]

This is a doodle in a trash can.
I started scribbling a little face and I ended up hating her because her nose was too big. I don't have a problem with big noses at all, just big UGLY ones. So I threw her out.
Good thing I did because she looks so cute in my trash can!

And good thing I just emptied my trash.
And didn't replace an ugly bag.

She just looks so peaceful in her little prison.

Now I don't want to throw anything out and ruin her.
But I really have no interest in keeping her.
Pictures are preservatives.
Back to cleaning up.

Sidenote

While I was photo-shooting my heart cakes, I realized how pretty this pile of fabric was and that I need to build something amazing out of it. Such as a kite. Or a seat cover.

True Love

Listen.
Valentine's Day is amazing for 2 reasons:

The first one is February 15th.
Candy is discounted.

<3

The second chocolate covered pile of amazing is every day proceeding...
Heart Cakes.

You don't even know how much I love these things.
Once upon a Catholic childhood, I gave up chocolate for Lent.
Then suddenly Lent fell
during Valentine's Day.

It was torture.
I renounced my religion.
I let God down.
I hid these in the freezer and ate them alone at night.

I did not bond with the Lord.
I ate heart cakes.

I have no regrets.
I went to confession, so I'm set anyway.

Man, I love heart cakes.
I'm eating one* right now.

Charcoal&Pages

I started doodling.

Sometimes I just really need my hands to keep as busy as my mind. I tore a few pages out of a book that I'm sure no one would ever care to read, and then played with charcoal for the first time since about September 2007.

I had an art teacher in college who made me never want to create ever again.

S
o I thought about my very sweet high school art teacher. And I pulled a few reminiscent doodles out of my hands before heading off to her calling hours. Rest in peace Mrs. Crawly, here are some doodles. :)
This is an eyebrow. It's hard to tell.

"Gesture Drawing"

"Hail Mary, full of grace, The Lord is with Thee. Blessed art Thou among women and Blessed is the fruit of Thy womb, Jesus. Holy, Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death."
Amen.

I love Catholic prayers

For the same reasons that I love my messy desk.
