This is Bryan's quilt. I started making it on our second anniversary in January 2009 and fished it the day we broke up in late June. It was a fake break up so I still gave it to him. Even if it had been a bitter break up, who wants to keep her own quilt? Rumor has it, he still likes it. :)The inspiration:
The center red stripe of the peace sign is sequined and reminiscent of the night I met Bryan, who was wearing an irresistible sparking red belt. (I saw that and was determined to put him in my life.) The choppy outside of the circle, with the squares just out of each other's touch, better illustrates Bryan from the inside, with an infinite effort to keep his peace, to keep it together.
